Daum told INSIDER she spotted the dress in a Salt Lake City thrift store weeks before the prom, and knew instantly that it was the one.
Her name is Keziah Daum, she was wearing a Chinese cheongsam dress to her high school prom, Woods Cross High School in Utah, despite receiving backlash from thousands of people online accusing her of cultural appropriation.
